The Rose Apple is an attractive fruit with a waxy skin and is the size and shape of a small pear. It is usually rose pink, but other varieties are larger and red wine in colour whilst smaller varieties a small translucent white fruits.
Similar to an apple in taste, it has more seeds, with a sweet juice and is either crisp or a woolly in texture. The tree grows as a shrub-like tree and the apples grow in clusters on the tree. It is eaten raw or turned into jam or a variety of desserts.
