In this section, we will regularly post topics dealing with the traditional games that we, as young kids, used to play. Traditional games are part of intangible heritage and a symbol of the cultural diversity of our societies. Well, like it is often said, times have changed and those games we played are part of the happy memories we have of our childhood. They promoted friendship and harmony, an intimacy of comradeship that has lasted to adulthood.
Unfortunately, most of them have been forgotten and replaced by modern computer games but a few have survived and are gaining popularity including the domino.
We will have posts on games like marbles or kannet, hide and seek or kouk, spinning tops or toupi, konos and many more…
We welcome comments and any suggestions that will make these posts more comprehensive and will gladly add into the blog any post on topics that we have not covered and we will give due recognition to the contributor.
